Custom fintech software development

Custom Software and AI for FinTech Product Teams

Join.To.IT engineers the product your customers use: onboarding, account views around your processor, internal admin, and the operational tooling a product company needs to ship. We build software for FinTech teams. We are not a licensed FinTech, and we do not run a regulated product of our own.

FinTech product software we build

The product layer around processors, not a substitute for them

FinTech product teams usually already have a processor, a verification vendor, and a backlog of customer-facing work that the core vendor will not ship. Spreadsheets and a thin admin console become the real product while engineering fights onboarding drop-off.

We build the application your users and operators live in: journeys, ledgers that record what the processor already did, role-based admin, and the internal tooling support and ops actually use. Licensing, safeguarding, and the movement of funds stay with you and your providers.

Platforms a FinTech product company actually ships

Start with onboarding and the admin console — the two places product, ops, and support collide — then extend around your processor.

01

Customer onboarding product

Sign-up, verification steps, document collection, and status that customers and ops can both understand.

  • Multi-step onboarding journeys
  • Verification provider hooks
  • Document collection and retries
  • Applicant progress and drop-off views
  • Handoff into live accounts
02

Processor-around ledgers

Your product’s record of balances, events, and statuses sourced from the processor — not a competing money movement system.

  • Event ingestion from processors
  • Account and balance views
  • Idempotent posting of provider events
  • Exception queues for unmatched events
  • Exportable activity history
03

Internal admin console

The control surface product ops and support need: lookup, limited actions, and a trail of who did what.

  • Customer and account search
  • Role-based operator actions
  • Notes, tags, and case links
  • Feature flags and config
  • Action audit log
04

Customer product experience

The authenticated product: dashboards, activity, settings, and the flows you differentiate on.

  • Authenticated web application
  • Activity and statement views
  • Profile and preference settings
  • Notification preferences
  • In-product help and status banners
05

Ops and support tooling

Queues and playbooks so support is not working from Slack threads and a shared inbox.

  • Ticket and queue views
  • Playbook checklists per issue type
  • Escalation to product ops
  • Macros with review before send
  • SLA and volume dashboards
06

Product analytics and experiment hooks

Instrumentation so product managers can see funnel, activation, and feature adoption without a warehouse project first.

  • Funnel event tracking
  • Cohort and drop-off reports
  • Feature flag exposure logs
  • Export to your warehouse
  • Release and incident annotations
AI for FinTech products

Assist operators and users without pretending the model is licensed

Product companies drown in onboarding exceptions and support threads. AI helps classify, summarise, and draft — while money movement, eligibility, and account actions stay in your rules and your staff.

Our Join.To.IT AI development team connects these capabilities to your onboarding data, admin audit trail, and approved product documentation.

Onboarding exception triage

Group repeated document and verification failures so ops work a queue of patterns, not one-off tickets.

Support conversation summaries

Turn long threads into a short, sourced brief for the next agent, with links back to the account and events.

In-product help from your docs

Answer customer questions from published help articles and status copy, with staff review for anything that changes an account.

Admin action drafting

Draft notes and customer messages from templates after an operator chooses an allowed action — never execute funds movement on its own.

Release and incident notes

Summarise changelog and incident timelines for internal channels so product and ops stay aligned during a launch.

FinTech product integrations

Connect the product to processors, KYC, and your stack

We integrate customer-facing software with payment or banking-as-a-service processors, identity verification, card or account vendors, analytics, and the communication tools your support team already uses.

Join.To.IT does not become your processor, does not hold client funds, and does not issue a licence. Those remain with your institution and contracted providers.

Why custom software

Why FinTech product companies build instead of waiting on the vendor

Processor consoles are built for many tenants. Your onboarding, admin permissions, and customer UX are the product. Custom software is the layer you control while the processor stays the regulated rails.

Onboarding is the product

Drop-off, retries, and exception handling are conversion work. Vendor default flows rarely match your market or risk appetite.

Ledgers must match the processor

Customers and ops need a coherent view of events the processor already posted, without treating your app as a second bank.

Admin is a product surface

Support and ops need constrained actions and a trail. Spreadsheets plus production database access do not scale.

Roadmap cannot wait on a core vendor

Differentiation lives in journeys, flags, and tooling around a stable processor API.

You stay the regulated party

We engineer the product. Licensing, policies, and provider contracts stay yours — which is how buyers should expect it.

Our development process

From product backlog to a shippable FinTech application

The same Join.To.IT delivery process, applied to onboarding, processor-around ledgers, and the admin console your operators use.

01

Business analysis

Map current sign-up, verification, go-live, and support paths, including where applicants stall and how ops unblocks them.

02

Solution design

Define product data models, processor event handling, role-based admin actions, and how every operator change is logged.

03

UI/UX design

Design customer journeys and admin screens that make status obvious and keep dangerous actions behind permissions.

04

Development

Build onboarding and admin first, then ledger views, support tooling, and analytics hooks in slices your team can UAT.

05

Quality assurance

Test provider failure modes, duplicate events, permission boundaries, and onboarding retries before production traffic.

06

Launch & support

Launch behind flags to a segment, watch funnel and exception queues, then extend features without rewriting the rails.

FAQ

FinTech product software questions

Practical answers for FinTech founders, product managers, and engineering leads at product companies.

How much does custom fintech software development cost?
Cost tracks how many journeys, admin roles, and processor event types the first release must handle. A focused onboarding product with a constrained admin console is a contained build; adding ledger views, support tooling, and analytics increases scope. We price after discovery against a defined feature set, not per seat or per transaction.
Is Join.To.IT a licensed FinTech?
No. We are a software engineering partner for product companies. We do not hold financial licences, do not operate a FinTech of our own, and do not move customer funds. You and your processors remain the regulated parties. We implement the product, controls, and audit logging your risk team specifies.
How do you handle security without claiming PCI or SOC?
We design for access control, environment separation, encryption in transit and at rest, secret management, and audit logging of operator actions. Hosting region and retention follow your requirements. We do not advertise PCI or SOC certifications we do not hold. If you need a named standard, we build to the controls your assessor defines.
Do you replace our payment processor?
No. We integrate with the processor you already use or select. Our software records and displays events, drives onboarding, and gives ops a safe admin surface. Settlement, safeguarding, and fund movement stay with that provider. Treating the product as a second processor is out of scope.
How is this different from your financial services page?
The parent financial services page covers operations software across lending, insurance, payments, and advisory teams. This page is for a product company shipping a FinTech application: onboarding UX, processor-around ledgers, and admin. Same engineering partner, different buyer, backlog, and success metrics around activation rather than case turnaround.
Can AI approve customers or move money?
No. We use AI to triage onboarding exceptions, summarise support threads, and draft messages from your templates. Account decisions and any action that changes balances follow your rules and your staff, with the operator and timestamp recorded. That keeps the model in an assistive role.
